The young entertain the young-at-heart! -- Worldwide!
Fourteen year-old Moorestown resident, Colin DiPasquale, wanted to use his years of piano lessons for good, by entertaining the senior population who otherwise could not venture out for fun. 'If my grandma loves it, why wouldn't other grandmas love it?!' So he started Senior Serenades,™ a program where musical teens donate their time and talents entertaining local seniors at assisted living facilities, playing piano and various band instruments.
But when COVID-19 hit, visits to senior residences came to a halt and it seemed inevitable that the in-person scheduled performances of Senior Serenades™ would have to be canceled. So as not to disappoint those seniors already on the schedule, DiPasquale began working on creating a virtual version of the concerts from his home.
Now, all of the volunteer teen musicians who play for Senior Serenades™ record from their own homes and email their songs to DiPasquale, who creates a concert video, then uploads to YouTube, sending the completed show each month to his growing list of assisted living facilities worldwide, including all over the United States, Canada and most recently, Scotland.
Virtual Senior Serenades™ videos are always FREE and now on YouTube for all senior living residences and senior organizations worldwide. Subscribe today!
